New Beginnings began as a dream by Bruce & Darlene Wheeler. After a week of prayer in Oregon by Bruce and Darlene (and several others praying in the Kuna area), he and John Whittaker drove through Kuna discussing the idea and praying in the park. The seed sprouted and grew into a Bible study with several other families that met in a home. For three months we studied, prayed for God to open the doors to plant a church.
On September 9, 2001 NBCC held its first Sunday service in Bernard Fisher Memorial Park. From there, God opened the door for us to begin meeting at Kuna middle School on September 23, 2001. We began small groups and it was a wonderful time of laying our foundation as a church. Then, God opened another door for us to rent the Kuna Seventh Day Adventist building. By the grace of God, NBCC held its grand opening at the SDA building on January 6, 2002.
On June 10, 2003 we purchased 9 1/2 acres on Ten Mile and Ardell, a property that is paid in full. We have selected Petra General Contractors to do our building project and with God’s resources, are underway in putting a building up on the property He so graciously led us to. We are currently trying to save up money to build a facility on our property to further god’s kingdom in Kuna.
